In 2015 Google announced that websites, in addition to looking good on a desktop or a laptop computer, they also had to be responsive to people surfing on their mobile phones and tablets. This was a first encouragement for people having websites to start enabling these features. Earlier in 2016, Google made a major modification in their search result algorithm favoring websites that have adopted these changes into being mobile responsive. These websites will now show higher up in the search results compared to businesses who have not yet made the necessary modifications. Come 2017, websites that are NOT responsive to mobile devices will not show up period. Surprisingly enough, there are still many websites out there that are not yet mobile friendly even in 2018. Given that the majority of people now use a mobile device like a smartphone or tablet to visit websites, failing in this area can cost you numerous client opportunities. Do something about it today.
